today I spent the whole day on the beach, which is just about my favorite thing to do :) (another one of my favorite things is taking pictures in the water, as you can probably tell hehe.) we also rented some paddle boards, so there will be lots of pictures with those tomorrow! someday I want to live on the beach ♡ 

- reason #1 why I love the beach:

everything is timeless here- the days go on forever, and you end up forgetting about stress/sad things. it's why I love it so much & why I can imagine living here! plus, I practically live in the water :)

Beach Vibes

Brewster Bay ☯

hey loves!! so today was my first full day in Cape Cod, and a really fun one at that! I couldn't imagine being anywhere else right now :) I swam in the water and stayed on the beach for most of the day. 

(my bathing suit is from Forever 21)

later on, my brother and I walked to the general store! it's the cutest shop ever, with so many signs with sayings covering the walls. 

we stocked up on candy and fudge! this is me holding my big bag of candy heheh:

then we walked back to our cottage. it's a 3 mile walk to the general store and back, and it's so worth it- Brewster is the cutest beach town and I love walking through it! everything is laid back, and there are so many shops that you wouldn't find anywhere else. I love the signs on the shops, and how cute/small everything is. we found this coffee shop on the way back; just one example of all the cute shops!

when we got back to our cottage, the sun was setting and the water was at low tide. the view was amazing; I can't even describe!!

My Beach Essentials ☼

hi everyone :) I thought I'd include a post about my beach essentials on my blog, because 1. the beach is one of my favorite places to be, and 2. I'm traveling to the beach right now, where I'll be staying for a week! whenever I go to the beach I like to pack a lot of things in my beach bag that I'm likely to use. so in this blog post I'll be showing you guys pictures/descriptions of what's in my beach bag! here we go :)

ok, so this first picture shows all the products I bring in my beach bag. here's a list/pictures of all the products:

1. Pacifica body butter: Hawaiian Ruby Guava

I don't know about you guys, but my skin can get pretty dry, especially when I'm at the beach! so this is pretty useful to me, since I'll be sitting in the sand and swimming in the water a lot :)

2. Nivea sunscreen- SPF 50+

I use this sunscreen for my body (excluding my face). it's good to have sunscreen with a medium to high SPF!

3. Neutrogena clear face sunscreen- SPF 30

I like to use special face sunscreen instead of just putting regular sunscreen on my face; face sunscreen is great if you have sensitive skin.

4. Hawaiian Tropic after-sun moisturizer

I love this moisturizer because it accentuates my tan, and helps me stay tanner longer! also, it's moisturizer and Aloe Vera combined which is cool!

5. Not Your Mother's Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I love this; it gives your hair that wavy, beachy look without it getting too messy! my favorite thing to do is put my hair in a French braid and then use the sea salt spray, so later on it gets really wavy :)

6. Garnier Fructis Thickening Lotion

another hair product! my hair is super straight naturally, and it can get kinda flat sometimes-especially after I've been swimming. this product gives my hair more volume

7. up&up hand sanitizer- kiwi punch

I bring this just in case! also it smells really good hehe

8. Secret gel deodorant- active fresh

this deodorant is great because it doesn't leave white marks, and it's waterproof!

9. Nivea mint and minerals lip balm 

I definitely recommend this lip balm! if your lips get chapped easily, it's a must-have

and that's it for products I use at the beach! here is everything else:

this is my beach bag (from American Eagle Outfitters), a towel, some hair ties, and my Conair brush

I also bring a little makeup for my face: Maybelline BB cream and Bobbi Brown face power! then I have my Fendi sunglasses, InStyle magazine to read on the beach, and just a small bag to put shells or sea glass in :)

Besties/Breakfast ✿

hi loves! so this morning, I hung out with my best friend Jas for the last time before college!! we went to this cute food place in my town called Montclair Bread Company; I'd have to say it's one of my favorite places in Montclair. I had fun hanging out with her as usual, and although it's bittersweet that we won't see each other for a little while, we will keep in touch and I'm really excited to see her in October (during our first break)! today we wore cute outfits and took pictures:

Summer Aesthetics

hey guys! so during the summer, my go to outfit combo has been a crop top and high rise shorts (as my close friends already know hehe :)). it's so simple, and I just love pairing a cute top with just the right pair of shorts! accessorizing is always fun too; you want to choose jewelry, a purse, and shoes that accent the outfit without being too loud and taking attention away from it! so anyways, here is my outfit of today:

I chose the gold necklace, tan sandals and tan Michael Kors bag to accent the blue in my American Apparel top! also, the bracelets are blue so they go with the top :)

tip: gold and tan can go with almost any color! so if you have a top and are not sure what would go with its color, remember that gold and tan accessories will almost always work!

my day: so today I went uptown with Robbie to a cute cafe in my town, and we got some great food for breakfast/brunch. we also went to the pool!

then, I hung out with my friends Gill and Sophia at Gill's house! we went out to get food, and walked around a lot. we also hung out at her house for awhile and just talked. it was really fun!!

one final update: I am really excited because I am going to stay at the beach for a week! I am going to Cape Cod and staying at a cottage right on the bay :) the beach is literally one of my absolute favorite places to be, and I can't wait! I will definitely do some posts about the beach, and you guys will get to see lots of pictures of my vacation so yay!!

Best Friend Appreciation Post ♡

hey guys! so today was really really fun :) I hung out with my best friends, Jasmine and Krista; one last time the three of us got to hangout before college! my favorite part of the day was when we had a bonfire at Krista's house and roasted s'mores. we talked about sooo many things, and they helped me figure out what I want to major in!!! we're thinking I could do an english major with a concentration in creative writing, and either a minor in communications or fashion, because it combines a lot of the things I love. they said they could see me writing for a fashion magazine and traveling the world! they made me see these great qualities in myself that I didn't really realize before, and I'm so grateful for that. LOVE THEM ♡
so this kind of a best friend appreciation post/thing I wanted to share with you all hehe :) unfortunately I don't have any pictures from today but it was really fun, so yea that's it!
